About Us

The Hurricanes are a 5 piece cover band playing all the classics from the 50's through 90's, with a handful of more recent songs in the mix for good measure.

Our current lineup includes Steve (Lead Guitar), Richard (Keyboard), Jeff (Bass Guitar), Bob (Drums) and Liz (vocals). Steve and Richard have been here from the start, with Liz joining shortly after in 2005, Jeff in 2019 and last but definitely not least, Bob in early 2025.

Since our inception in 2004, we have been up to a 7 piece band, with a rhythm guitar and second vocalist.

We love music, and we love playing it live. Nothing quite beats the atmosphere of a full live band playing songs well, and we strive for not only a great sound, but a great stage presence to add energy and interaction for the events that we play.

For our members, it's more than just being in a team of musicians, we consider ourselves more like family. Our rehearsals are filled with the sounds of our instruments and loads of songs, but this is paired with a great amount of fun and laughter. We celebrate our milestones together and wouldn't have it any other way.

The Hurricanes were born in 2004, and 20 years on we are still loving what we do. This is more than just the songs, it's playing them live.

Our instruments, our vocals, our sound, all coming together to provide an atmosphere that only playing live can create.

You know, those songs that EVERYBODY knows, even if it was from an era decades before they were born. Think signature riffs, unmistakable melodies and lyrics just waiting to burst out of the mouths of your guests... and then there's the songs that flashback images of clothing and hairstyles choices that make your eyebrows dip, and of course there's THOSE dance moves that will simply never be out of style!
